Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Preparation Technician will work in our London warehouse preparing, maintaining and managing the delivery of audio systems for the busy hire department. The role includes providing technical support to staff and customers and the support.

Your day will look like this:
To develop safe working practices according to H&S policies
Assisting the asset management team with stock location / requests
The preparation, supervision, assembly and de-preparation of Speakers and associated cable systems, signal patching systems and Mains distribution systems.
Assistance in specialised departments including desk prep, amp prep and RF may be required
Assisting the loading and tipping of courier / transport vehicles
Ensuring equipment is delivered within timelines and with appropriate packaging and documentation.
Immediately reporting to managers any anomalies, lost, stolen or damaged equipment
Ensuring Hire Preparation Area is maintained in a clean, organised and tidy condition
Identifying and developing improvements to performance and processes through Continuous Improvement and working with managers, including.
To report to managers any anomalies, lost stolen or damaged equipment.
The role may be required to assist, or cover for, other roles within the operation for which full training / support will be given.
Level of education:
Educated to GCSE level, with A-C in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Educated to industry related degree level or equivalent is desirable
Professional requirements:
Full, UK Driving Licence (may be required to transport equipment)
Right to work and remain in the UK
Essential skills / experience:
You will have at least three years’ experience in a similar role
You will have extensive knowledge of Pro Audio systems, with particular regard to D&B, L’Acoustics, DiGiCo, AVID Midas and Yamaha consoles, Dante networking and RF systems from Shure and Sennheiser
You will require flexibility and be willing to work unsociable hours
Good administration skills and an excellent telephone manner are essential
Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure – the role is fast paced, with several jobs loading / unloading simultaneously
