Grade BR14 – starting salary £46,354 to £48,605 depending on experience
Hours: 36 per week
Bromley are seeking a highly talented, ambitious and creative Prevention Practice Manager who has experience of delivering excellent outcomes for children. This is a newly created post arising from funding provided by the Ministry of Justice until 31 st March 2025. It is offered as a 2 year fixed term contract in line with the funding period. The post will be attached to the Youth Justice Service (YJS) in Bromley, located in Masons Hill, Bromley South.
The Prevention Practice Manager will be responsible for delivering the Turnaround Programme in accordance with the requirements set by the Ministry of Justice and developing the wider YJS Prevention Practice offer. The successful applicant will be expected to deliver an outstanding prevention offer to children at the point of arrest, on the cusp of offending or who are in receipt of community resolutions or civil orders linked with anti-social behaviour. The post has been developed to take account of the needs of children and young people of Bromley and also to work closely with the existing Liaison and Diversion offer as well as the new Engage project (led by Croydon local authority).
Bromley Youth Justice Service works in partnership with Police, Health, Education, Early Help, Social Care, National Probation Service, Targeted Youth Support and community sector providers, all with the common purpose of supporting children to avoid offending and with a view to successfully integrating children into their local communities giving them the best chance of thriving and achieving.

The position requires a relevant qualification in Social Work, Probation or Teaching, substantial experience of supporting children at risk of offending and/or with complex needs and management experience.
