A good rated primary school based in South Leeds are seeking a school pastoral support worker to support a range of pupils across school.
The school are keen for to have the right person for the job who will make a great impact on supporting pupils’ SEMH needs and development as well as supporting school-wide safeguarding concerns.
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience supporting teaching and learning or supporting pupils
Have good knowledge of the statutory safeguarding procedures
Be confident to deliver supportive activities 1 to 1 and a small group basis
Be a reliable member of staff that staff can report safeguarding concerns to.
Have a DBS on the update service
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting a range of pupils around school, pulling them from lessons to support their SEMH needs
Reporting safeguarding issues in a timely and accurate manner
Engaging pupils back into their learning
Supporting behaviour and emotional support through activities and creating a close relationships
Developing and implenting support plans for pupils
