Principal Engineer – Large Multidisciplinary consultancy
Your new company Your new company is a global multidisciplinary consultancy that works across multiple major and minor schemes including, MoJ, Aviation, Commercial, Industrial, Nuclear, Arts, Film and major Highways and Infrastructure, and MoD.
They have multiple offices across the globe with this role being located from their Manchester office. The office itself is located in Manchester city centre, close to public transport hubs and tram stops with on-site carparking. It is a new build office, which is open plan with excellent use of space for collaboration, breakout rooms, meeting areas, canteen and views of Manchester Cathedral. Staff work two days minimum from the office which has multiple meeting rooms, an open plan with a vibrant atmosphere.
Your new role Your new role will see you working as a Principal Mechanical Engineer across the multiple schemes mentioned above, working alongside fellow engineers and technicians to supervise their conceptual and detailed designs, aiding junior staff when needed and working across multiple schemes simultaneously. You will be using your design software such as IES for conceptual and detailed designs to a high and timely standard when need for project success.
What you’ll need to succeed To succeed in this role you will have a minimum of 8 years’ UK Mechanical Engineering experience and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. You will also be fluent with design software such as IES and knowing Revit is preferable for this role. Your project experience should also include or be transferable to the projects mentioned above.
