Principal/Senior Avionics Systems Engineer, Aerospace/Defence, Safety Critical, Hybrid/Remote/South West
We are seeking an Avionics systems engineer to provide a consultancy at a principal level to our clients to be responsible for the development of high integrity avionics systems.
Some key responsibilities include:
From the idea stage through certification, work with various client teams to support and guide the creation of the system artefacts at the aircraft system and subsystem level.
Give clients guidance on how to create avionics systems, making sure they adhere to engineering standards and legal specifications.
Support the internal development of the avionics systems’ capacity to satisfy the demands of the market, both now and in the future. Support Win-work and bidding activities, providing technical expertise and managing commercial and technical risk.
Essential Experience:
Engineering Degree (or equivalent) and 10+ years strong experience in systems engineering, with a background in safety critical avionic systems development
5+years senior/principal level with demonstrable experience of leadership throughout systems engineering life cycle
Strong experience using ARP4754, ISO15288 and other system development processes.
Knowledge of and experience of civil/Military regulatory certification, airworthiness and environmental requirements.
Eligibility for SC clearance
Office locations: Bristol & Cheltenham. Remote working is possibly with monthly travel to the Bristol office
