Elevation Recruitment are currently recruiting for a pivotal role with a global manufacturing business, based in Derbyshire.The role of Process Engineer, will be responsible for maintaining, developing and optimising key processes to reduce costs, improve quality and reduce downtime, whilst ensuring all aspects of operations are both safe and efficient and supporting the production and maintenance team and other functions within the business.The Process Engineer duties and responsibilities will include: Support and Liaise with all manufacturing personnel to aid the successful resolution of issues in daily manufacturing activities (process and technical) Maintain, develop and optimise key processes, including evaluating data and monitor site processes and systems The maintenance and upkeep of process technical specifications and control documents Evaluate metrics, discover areas for improvement, take corrective actions, monitor and validate changes/upgrades Actively participate in, or facilitate, root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to assist in the development and the repair of some elements of plant and machinery Plan and organise trials, communicate presentations and technical reports when required Support capital investment requests, create technical specifications, conduct tests and trials and ensure processes are optimised and capable Support the implementation and commissioning of projects within time and cost constraintsThe successful person must have: Manufacturing experience in a high value add or a continuous process environment. Related apprenticeship with or minimum of 3 years relevant experience in related field, process, engineering or chemistry plus qualification (minimum HNC level or equivalent) Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to facilitate root cause analysis Knowledge of real time data monitoring and process evaluation; statistical process control tools and analysis Some hands on experience in the use of continuous improvement and lean tools and techniques with the ability to persuade others to change existing practices Six Sigma qualification would be considered advantageous Be flexible to shift patterns when business needsElevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist recruitment consultancy dealing with engineering, technical and operational positions in Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.
