Process Simulation Expert We are currently looking to recruit an experienced manufacturing process simulation expert for an exciting new factory design and layout opportunity based in the Crewe area of Cheshire. As the Manufacturing Process Simulation Expert in this role, you will work closely with departmental first line management teams to provide in depth technical knowledge and guidance, to support production planning strategic focus and ensure engagement from the leadership team in achieving business objectives. This Manufacturing Process Simulation Expert will make a strong contribution to the implementation of process simulation within the manufacturing facility. Enabling the manufacturing function to simulate, test, and modify the future factory design which is a requirement for engineering excellence moving forward. Responsibilities include: Virtual planning manufacturing processes for production systems (factory and machine) and products. Ensuring these processes provide the integration and interactive analysis of potential planning scenarios using agreed boundary conditions. Lead and implement the use of digital toolsets to simulate and plan efficient, flexible and future-proof production systems. Specific processes (incl. mock-up and accessibility checks) and strategies (e.g. Lean) will need to be modelled and simulated in production simulation software. Accountable for developing and influencing the strategic technical direction, of both the departmental processes & toolset, and the physical process solutions. Ability to demonstrate deliverables status at any time with Key Performance Indicators. Responsibility to ensure factual and effective communication is provided at all levels, including multiple cross-functional working teams. Advising and reporting to the Senior Leadership team on opportunities, progress and Return On Investment. Support the manufacturing function with competence implementation and upskilling with regards to process simulation. Applications to this exciting new role are welcomed from individuals with the following experience: Expertise in Siemens PLM software (specifically Siemens Plant Simulation) and systems for 5+ years, for advice regarding software and hardware requirements to support a Smart Factory vision Experience in using multiple digital planning toolsets in previous roles to provide guidance during the Smart Factory deployment phases. Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to collaborate and influence with others and deliver results through a broad range of stakeholders. A strong attention to detail combined with the ability to problem solve and deliver tangible improvements within a deadline and to budget. Experience of leading and embedding a transformational way of working Project management skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise, prioritise and manage multiple projects in parallel. You will have excellent organisational skills and a pragmatic and flexible approach to the role. You will be proactive, resilient in the face of adversity and act as a role model at all times. In return, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a pay rate of £45.00 per hour Limited company. This role does fall inside IR35.
