The role will be predominantly focused on health services whilst also providing support to non-clinical categories such as Estates and Facilities Management, Digital and IT and Business Services areas. You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering procurement strategies in sophisticated supply markets working with and on behalf of our customers. This role offers a lot of growth, with the opportunity to progress into an exciting career within healthcare procurement and gain vital procurement experience within a well-established team. This is a hybrid working role with the requirement to attend either Leeds, Bristol or Salford once a month. You will also need to attend client sites as required. What you ll be doing: Leading Procurement processes (legal process, scoping, briefing, tendering, selection, evaluation, contract negotiation and management of suppliers). Providing high quality customer focused procurement and service design advice to external customers whilst supporting the team in delivery of projects -acting as both a leader and a supporter. Crafting and maintaining positive, collaborative, and supportive professional relationships with internal collaborators and external customers, as well as actively generating and establishing relationships with new customers. Being regarded as a trusted advisor to the customer s senior team as well as an expert in the NHS and its strategic goals and policy drivers. Acting as a senior point of advice for internal staff in terms of the commercial and assignment management aspects of project delivery. Actively generating opportunities for future work through the ongoing development of professional networks of contacts across the NHS and wider public sector. Horizon scanning in order to identify development and new opportunities for new and existing customers. What you ll bring: Experience of working in procurement, commissioning, bid writing or contract management team within Public Sector Knowledge and skill in Procurement process, including tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier management. Market and product knowledge in some commodities as well as some knowledge and experience in conducting market research. Proven analytic skills (analysis of information, interpreting and presenting findings) and be able to report and provide evidence to the procurement team of savings and benefits delivered through the effective management of the vendor base. Has a strong persuasion capability and is an active and contributing team member and the ability to manager conflicting situations. Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally, with peers and management Professional Qualification (or working towards) in Procurement (such as MCIPS) or related field (Contract Management, Supply Chain, Funding etc) It would be great if you had: General commercial awareness Ability to communicate in English on a familiar subject Knowledge of EU/UK Procurement Policies, Procedures and Processes as well as Procurement ERP systems, eSourcing tools and MS Office Experience of working closely with multiple Government organisations and external third-party suppliers Awareness of procurement compliance to instruct wider team/clients If you are interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we re looking for, please do apply, we d love to hear from you!
