The Assurance Manager will have a vital role in updating our compliance and governance framework. The role sits within the Procurement & Supply Chain function working with the team to ensure that all internal policies, procedures, work instructions and external standards and legislation are complied with and that appropriate items are being monitored and analysed, ensuring accurate reporting and system controls are in place to deliver assurance requirements.
What will you be doing day to day?
Support the Lead Standards & P2P Manager in designing, implementing and executing assurance measures to ensure the Company’s Procurement & Supply Chain function complies with all internal policies and procedures and external standards and legislation. Liaise with standards, internal and external auditors, data and reporting, etc. to ensure appropriate assurance measures are in place and to drive common practice. Support the wider team in understanding their obligations under the compliance governance framework (such as self-audit requirements). Undertake audits, conduct analysis and accurately report on findings in a clear and concise manner. Early identification of non-compliant practices / weaknesses in Procurement & Supply Chain operations in relation to relevant legal, regulatory, financial and sustainability requirements and which relate to key Company risks. Identify and make available to the wider team any learning, evident best practice, innovation or other useful information.What you’ll need
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a compliance or assurance role. Procurement experience is desirable, but not essential. Highly developed drafting, reporting, and writing skills. Good communications skills. Excellent analysis skills. Highly numerate. Process oriented. Good understanding of Procurement and P2P related systems e.g. Oracle, Jaggaer.
