Job Title: Production OperativeLocation: TauntonSalary: £10.42 -£11.42 an hourHours: Full time. Rotating shifts Monday to Friday of 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm OR to work 7am-3pmOur very well established client in Taunton have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.BASIC FUNCTIONTo produce products through intricate needlework, stitching and splicing, glue application whilst following GMP procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To work efficiently while maintaining quality
• To meet predetermined targets and deadlines within production
• Be aware of the amount of wastage of product rejected
• Follow and comply with the company guidelines
• To ensure cleanliness standards are met and daily/weekly cleaning schedule is adhered to.
• To unsure PPE is used at all times and in good order
• To communicate with the team leader/supervisor to ensure that production rules are adhered to
• Positive attitude towards other work colleagues /team leader/ supervisor and making sure all work is donein the appropriate methods
• Health and safety awareness
• To be aware of the importance of quality and cleanliness around the work stations
• When fully trained to deliver training to other operators
• (trainers) support the team leader/supervisor with the appropriate feedback on the trainee on a regularbasis
• Any other task that is reasonably expected within the post holder’s ability

Background:

• Background of working within a manufacturing environment – Desirable
• Previous background of working with machinery – Desirable

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

• Dexterity with small components
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Good time management and ability to work unsupervised
• Good communication skills
• Team player
• Flexible with enthusiasm to learn
• IT literate is beneficial
