The Operations Department functions to support the overall running of all the departments, this includes: wrapping and packing, loading and unloading of trucks, internal site to site transport, plant maintenance, waste management, estate management.

Production Operatives working within the operations department provide support to all the production departments and workshops to ensure projects are prepared and loaded before leaving for show venues across the UK, Europe and worldwide.

• Safe loading and unloading of trucks

• Preparing built items and road boxes for site

• General support within the production departments may include basic painting, sanding, filling, and simple assembly work

• Moving manufactured scenic parts between production departments requiring the use of manual handling skills

• Using an iPad for loading and unloading items

• Completing housekeeping tasks and waste management duties within theworkshop and external loading bays

• Completing daily maintenance checks

• Completing of electronic timesheets daily

Knowledge

Understanding of health and safety issues in relation to manual handling and COSHH

Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001

Thorough knowledge of loading and unloading vehicles

Knowledge of H&S and correct use of PPE
