Role: Project Manager

We are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager to join the PMO team in a leading and reputable Civil Engineering & Construction organisation who are supporting a UK Rail and Aviation client with a large-scale transformation programme.

You will be responsible for delivering a variety of innovative technology and internal business change projects including business development. We are looking for a change focused Project Manager to lead the delivery and implementation from a people and process perspective to ensure the systems & processes are implemented successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the execution and delivery of projects with clients ensuring quality and contract fulfilment across all engagement deliverables with excellent communication and client management.
• Apply and manage client contracts ensuring delivery of scoped work through optimal adaptation and application of PMO methodology – including planning, managing risks, establishing and leading governance, quality standards, controlling costs and meaningful reporting on an end to end basis, mitigating any risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coaches and drives talent engagement across PMO investing in the welfare and achievement of project team members (and subcontractors) and contributing to their professional development during the project.
• Driving compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Assurance regulations including mental and emotional well-being in all client projects and PMO practice activities.
• Achieve effective WIP, billing and invoice collection in accordance with client contracted terms.
• Develop professional expertise on specific aspects of PMO practice and actively contribute to the development of IP and structures knowledge.
• Actively engages in the preparation of bids and tender requests to secure new business, demonstrating company PMO behaviours and values across all activities.
• Take ownership of risks and mitigations across all stages of client engagement ensuring effective contract documentation and commercial management.

Must Haves:

• 3 years experience delivering complex business transformation projects across transport networks/live operations/infrastructure/engineering (or similar) environments
• Bid management
• Proven track record delivering complex business change and IT projects end to end
• Track and report on project scope, time and budget changes
• Deliver projects, on time, on budget, with quality and benefits realised
• Set up appropriate governance, reporting and control structures
• Understanding of enablers of outstanding project delivery e.g., cost, time, quality
• Contribute to the development of PMO methodologies and competences
• Application of Project Management methodologies
• C-level stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Qualifications: AMP, Prince2, APMG or equivalent

Salary: Circa. £45,000 – £55,000 + Excellent Benefits (Depending on Experience)

Location: Birmingham or London 1-2 days in office per week.
