We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager in a permanent capacity with our Leeds based client in their PMO function. They are looking for someone who can manage a project from inception through to live operational running and being responsible for the selection, prioritisation, control and delivery of programmes and projects.

Essential Experience/Skills:

• End to end project management experience within PMO function is mandatory.
• Strong commercial experience of running IT and/or change projects.
• Prince 2/MSP/AMP/Agile certification.
• Committed to continuous improvement.
• Excellent knowledge of IT project delivery the public sector environment.
• Managed governance, financial budgets, and cost control in excess of £100k.
• Can define and embed the processes, standards and guidelines that make up a PMO approach.
• Experience of working in an environment where you have had to deal with risk, change and conflict management.
• Extremely confident with MS Office and portfolio management software (eg, MS Project, Daptiv etc.).

Highly Desirable:

• P30 Certification (Practitioner) or equivalent.

As the Project Manager, you would be responsible for the following:

• Validate and define the business cases at project outset and identify and monitor all relevant factors that may affect the business case.
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and key team members within the PMO area and in the wider team.
• Financial Management, Budgeting and Cost Control – consistently monitor financial performance as well as establishing and agreeing budgets for all allocated projects.
• Constantly have an eye on the overall project plans and control over all activities required to ensure successful project delivery.
• Update relevant plans, schedules, and communications to reflect approved changes, and manage approved changes within the PMO Configuration Management System.
