Are you a Purchasing Manager or similar from a Manufacturing / Packaging / FMCG background looking for a leadership role where you will be the main procurement expert on site and directly involved in the future success of one of the UK’s leading packaging companies offering progression to senior roles and an annual bonus to increase earnings?

This family run company specialise in providing rigid plastic packaging solutions to a range of blue-chip clients across the globe. They are well known for their family culture and staff retention and since their establishment 30 years ago, they have grown their team substantially to include 22 employees. Due to increased demand and success, they are now looking to expand their Purchasing team.

This varied and autonomous role will see you become the main procurement expert on site as you lead the purchasing team, implement a new supplier management system and work closely with the R&D Director to ensure all procurement matters are well managed, as well as building and maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers to drive further growth. You will be working Monday to Thursday 7:30am-5pm with an early finish at 4pm on Fridays and the opportunity to work from home 3 days a week after probation.

This role would suit a Purchasing Manager or similar from a Manufacturing / Packaging / FMCG background looking for an exciting role within one of the UK’s leading packaging companies offering progression to senior positions as well as an annual bonus to increase potential earnings.

The Role:

• Deal with all Purchasing / Procurement matters within the company
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and clients
• Work to KPI’s and oversee KPI activities
• Liaise with the R&D Director and other members of the senior leadership team
• Monday to Thursday – 7:30am – 5pm & Finish at 4pm on Fridays

• Purchasing Manager or similar
• Background in Manufacturing / Packaging / FMCG
• Commutable to Shrewsbury
