QA Lead – Permanent – Woking – Hybrid working

An independent game studio based in the Southeast of England are currently looking to hire QA Lead on a permanent basis to be the main point of contact for the production team for the QA Testers. The company is ever growing of highly experienced and talented developers focused on creating exceptional and innovative games for console and PC platforms.

The company are currently working closely with a prestigious publisher in the early stages of an exciting project, and the company are looking for individuals who have a passion for gaming to accommodate this growth.

Your New Role

The QA Lead will report to the production team where you will manage and work with the QA team to monitor and report on build health through appropriate channels. The successful candidate will also be the main point of contact for any external QA the business works with. You will also be the main point of contact for the production team for everything related to the company. The post holder will be responsible for managing tasks for the QA team, whether they are QA related, or appropriate requests from the other departments.

You will be delegating, performing, and managing tasks for the QA team. You will assist in recruitment for the QA team and providing updates to the wider team. The QA Lead will write and manage test plans ensuring the product is to the highest standard of quality.

What you will need to succeed

We are looking for someone who has at least 4 years of games QA experience and 2+ years’ experience of Lead QA experience. The ideal candidate will have experience using Microsoft Office applications, excellent mentoring skills and have strong spoken communication. You will have experience working effectively as part of a team and autonomously. You are flexible and open-minded approach to testing whilst being a creative thinker and problem solver.

The post holder will have experience executing structured test plans, especially smoke and regression tests. You will have in studio experience and be passionate about games along with having experience with Unreal Engine.
