An extrodinary oppurtunity to join a £15bn a year company as a Regional Tax Manager, EMEA. You’ll be focussing predomiantely on the tax planning and advising local entities.

Description

• Lead regional process, review, and analysis for ETR and tax cash flow for each cycle
• Lead regional process, review and analysis for ETR forecasting
• Review pricing (ICP subsidies) and update / redesign the operating policies in close collaboration with Finance, Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, Global Services as well as Transfer Pricing and Global tax planning. Seek and deploy automation and process improvement opportunities
• Review data and financial details to support for TP analysis and audit readiness, such as country by country reports details, activities by LE, headcounts by banding, locations and activities, GP analysis, TP governance and other relevant activities
• Review and execute tax strategies including indirect and direct taxes to complement the businesses and marketing strategies and advise internal clients of tax implications related to business strategies including R&D, Supply Chain and Trade Compliance
• Lead special projects for the region that encompass various tax disciplines, functions and business partners
• Review material statutory and corporate income tax submissions prepared by co-source providers
• Support internal and external audits as they relate to global tax and transfer pricing
• Manage tax planning and transfer pricing engagements with external advisors and outside counsel
• Identify, execute, and govern tax planning strategies, opportunities, and solutions in order to manage risk
• Build and maintain effective relationships with business partners including Finance and Supply Chain, the Global Tax Planning team, Global Tax Reporting and Compliance teams, Transfer Pricing and Tax Disputes
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of global legal entities and business strategies
• Provide EU tax policy support and analysis
• Represent EMEA tax in regional and global projects/workstreams, including articulating requirements and ensuring new processes and systems are fit for purpose.

Profile

• Advanced degree or professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant or Chartered Tax Advisor is preferred
• Proven experience in finance/accounting or related business is required
• Experience in international tax with a US-headquartered multinational company preferred
• Experience managing external advisors and co source providers preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools and have an intermediate to advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel is required
• Strong analytical abilities (data, fact patterns, external tax/legal frameworks) and accounting
• Candidate must possess strong collaborative, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with cross-functional, non-tax personnel
• The ability to anticipate changing requirements and effectively plan across the enterprise landscape is required
• Individual must work well in a team environment; be able to recommend and implement process improvements and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
