Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Reporting Manager with experience of a busy finance team for its UK consulting business. Initally on a 6 month fixed term basis, with the possibilty to turn permanent.

The role has responsibility for preparation and consolidation of Consulting UK Reporting and will work closely with Consulting UK Finance Managers & the wider Group Consulting Finance team.

• Consolidation of the budgeting and forecasting process for the overall UK Consulting business
• Consolidated & Service line monthly financial reporting of the UK Consulting business. This will include interrogation of results and working with the Finance Managers for reporting variances

Major aspects of this role include internal reporting, coordination of the monthly reporting cycle, coordination and consolidation of the forecasting and budgeting process, analysis of financial performance and material challenges within the UK Consulting business.

The role will involve working closely with the Consulting UK Finance Managers, contract and overhead finance personnel, and the wider business to ensure robust financial reporting and associated governance and controls are in place.

This is an exciting time to join the business as the current HFM consolidation tool is being retired and the new Oracle FCCS consolidation tool is rolled out, allowing an individual to set up new processes and make the role their own.

Detailed activities include:

• Build relationships with Finance Managers & the wider Group Consulting Finance team.
• Coordination, consolidation and reporting of monthly flash report for the UK Consulting Results

• Consolidation and reporting of Actual financial results including:
  • Reconciliation of OP & GL modules in Oracle & working with the finance team on corrections
  • Reconciliation and verification of the UK Consulting results to Hyperion/Oracle FCCS (Extracted Automatically)
  • Preparing Consulting UK Monthly Reporting Pack and other files, for submission to Consulting Corporate Finance.
  • Variance Analysis
  • Data manipulation & interrogation of result, reaching out across the UK Consulting Business
  • Hyperion/Oracle FCCS uploads for Adhoc Schedules
  • Monitoring and Reporting of DSO, backlog and billability/utilisation for Consulting UK Business.

• Assist with the coordination, consolidation and reporting of the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting process for the overall Consulting UK Business including:
  • Administration & coordination of the budget, reforecast & rolling forecast
  • Collation of Consulting forecasting information in Hyperion Planning
  • Input all consolidated forecast Hyperion forms/Oracle Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service
  • Responsible for the overall production of the UK Consulting DSO, balance sheet and cash flow reporting

• Support Consulting UK Finance Managers with P&L reporting, margin analysis, indirect COS, utilisation, receivables analysis, cost saving initiatives and other adhoc items
• Identification of business improvement opportunities – excellence, standardisation and simplification focus
• Support Financial Controller / TB Owner of the Consulting UK Business as required with ad-hoc tasks

Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree qualified or qualified Chartered Accountant / Qualified by experience

Minimum Experience:

• 5 – 10 years relevant accounting experience
• Proficient user of Excel and PowerPoint
• Commercial knowledge
• Profiecient system experience

Preferred but not essential:

• Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience
• Hyperion Planning experience
• Oracle
• Oracle FCCS
• Oracle Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service
