Avantor is looking for a GMP experienced and self-driven Research Technician to join our General Lab & Scientific Services Department on a full-time, permanent basis. Predominantly you will be based at one of our major client s site at Alderley Park, Macclesfield transitioning to Macclesfield Campus at Silk Business Park by the end of the year. You will have the opportunity to support the team with preparation products for pharmaceutical testing and build on your already existing knowledge of Good Manufacture Practice. Your responsibility will incude meetings with the customer and suggesting improvements, so you need to know the importance of excellent customer service. Education: Educated to Degree level in a scientific subject Experience: At least one year of GMP operational laboratory experience; understanding of analytical testing or microbiological testing of pharmaceuticals and scientific product preparation; strong understanding of the importance of Health & Safety within laboratory. Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred; very proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel How you will thrive and create an impact? To carry out daily manufacture of products to a consistently high standard – in line with SHE, GMP & local agreements, including accurately weighing and batch recording chemicals, product manufacture and dispensing, aseptic methods and techniques and operation of laboratory equipment (pH meters, balances) Make sustainability improvements and use knowledge of Green Chemistry to meet customer sustainability targets Complete electronic batch records to a high standard using our software and raising errors that may occure Work with another member of a team and area manager to support change controls, deviations and audit requests Why Avantor?
