Revenue Analyst. Hybrid 5-month Contract. Immediate Berkshire

Our global client requires a Revenue Analyst to support the revenue management process for the UK region.

• Leading Revenue performance and pipeline reporting to the commercial and finance teams.
• Support Revenue Forecasting and Budgeting Process.
• Own the Revenue Accounting Process within the Wholesale Sales Channel.

To be considered for the role:

• Revenue Accounting Experience: 2+ years of experience working in Revenue Accounting, with exposure to revenue control.
• Data Analysis of large quantities of data within Excel is a key requirement.
• Reporting and collaboration skills working with commercial teams to ensure compliance and adderance to revenue accounting process.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Diligent and efficient, outcome-focused with a ‘can-do’ commitment to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Revenue Reporting and Analysis

• Lead revenue reporting to the commercial teams – extract revenue reporting data from our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and manipulate in Excel to provide both routine and ad hoc revenue reporting to the commercial teams.
• Undertake analysis of monthly revenue to understand drivers of performance against Budget, Forecast and Prior Year
• Manage the month end revenue reconciliation between the CRM and financial system (Oracle NetSuite), one of our key financial controls.
• Support the Revenue Controller to partner with the commercial teams to ensure the CRM pipeline is amended to reflect any changes highlighted by the month end reconciliation.

Revenue Forecasting

• Provide revenue reports and analysis to support the commercial leaders and teams to build their revenue forecasts for the rest of the year (each quarter)
• Provide the granular revenue forecast input and analysis into the financial P&L forecasting process.

Revenue Annual Planning

• Support the Head of FP&A to build the annual revenue plan for 2024, taking inputs from the commercial teams on key initiatives and information on expected contract wins and losses.
• Lead revenue accounting for our complex Wholesale sales channel (circa £10m revenue per annum) comprising the tasks below.
• Manage the validation of sales orders (ensuring they tie to contractual commitments from clients)
• Maintain invoice schedule and manage outgoing invoice process with Wholesale customers.
• Own the monthly revenue accounting close and reporting process, ensuring accurate P&L and Balance Sheet entries.
• Lead the calculation and financial administration of data royalties back to our Wholesale partners.
• Provide finance business partnership and issue resolution support to the Wholesale commercial team.

System transition support

• Support the transition to a new CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics)
• Adapt revenue reporting process to draw data from the new CRM system.
