SALES MANAGER Mark Allen is a forward-thinking, inclusive media company celebrating yet another record year of success and we’re excited to be looking for a Sales Manager to join our team across our portfolio of market-leading, events serving the education sector. Nursery World Show and Tes SEND Show are market-leading exhibitions within the education market. This fantastic opportunity will allow you to lead the show sales to exceed monthly, annual, and rebooking targets How? Selling solutions such as exhibition stand space, sponsorship and bespoke packages at agreed rates to your clients so they can interact with like-minded industry professionals within this incredible sector. You will be introduced to existing clients encouraging further spending as well as introducing the exhibitions to new clients/ You need to be comfortable and confident researching and calling cold leads Developing a real understanding of your market and future trends and in turn new revenue streams. Contributing to the timely delivery and effectiveness of exhibitor and visitor promotion Hitting your sales meeting targets with decision-makers Set the pricing guidelines for all revenue-generating products ensuring margins are improved in line with budget Work with wider teams such as marketing to ensure all deadlines are met and campaigns effectively target market and operations regarding logistics and any operational issues throughout the campaign Build relationships within the industry (including internal commercial & editorial teams) to identify trends, relevant exhibitors/sponsors, and new business opportunities ahead of competitors Being organised, keeping databases, sales reports and financial reports up to date. Floor plans accurate, avoiding any void areas and keeping colleagues informed of any floor plan movements or changes You will thrive in this role in this role if you enjoy Selling and the thrill of delivering live events to your audiences. Ideally, you would have an event sales background and are familiar with how to deliver an exhibition successfully however if you have transferrable sales skills we’d love to hear from you.
