SEMH Teaching Assistant

A fantastic specialist school for children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs based in the outskirts of Billericay are looking for a bright and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join them and help support children with behaviour and mental health issues.

JOB ROLE

Meet their student’s social, emotional and mental health needs enabling them to thrive both in school and in the wider community. Support the students to develop the attributes, skills, knowledge and understanding required to become valuable members of society

To work in partnership with class teachers to support pupils’ with severe needs and to support their learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice and school policies and procedures.

Working with individuals or small groups of children under the direction of teaching staff to provide skilled support to pupils with severe learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory or physical difficulties.
