Special Education Needs – SEN Learning Support – Autism / ADHD / Social Emotional & Mental Health – Education and Training We are actively recruiting for a range of support staff, including learning support assistants, behaviour mentors and outreach workers for special needs schools in Bracknell. These roles are ideal for a Psychology or Criminology Graduate that is looking to pursue a career in Special Education and Child/Education Psychology. We are also very keen to hear from experienced SEN practitioners that are looking for the next step in their career. The schools that we work with have a therapeutic approach to education so if you’re an aspiring Music, Art, Speech and Language or Occupational Therapist then we can help with this too. This SEN LSA role will place you in a Special Education Needs School where you will be working with some of the most vulnerable children in society. This role is about supporting, guiding and showing them a new way to embrace learning, to value education and preparing them for life out of school. You will be working with children who have a range of social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). They often struggle to manage their emotions and behaviour and as a result, will find it difficult to make and sustain relationships. Empathy and patience are key in this role – the support you provide with their behaviour will often not be apparent, but you will be contributing to the long term development of personality and actions. This is the kind of role that will give you the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals that you work with and build some outstanding experience for further career development. Job Summary: £80 to £90 per day – Monday to Friday – 08.30am to 16.00pm with immediate start. Working 1:1 with pupils with varying degrees of SEN from Mild Learning Difficulties to Severe Autism. Fantastic CPD provided by teachers and tutors – ideal for when you start an MSc or research project. You will be working with like-minded individuals. Opportunity to interview and spend the day in the school, seeing how the school and students operate.
