We are recruiting an inspirational SENCO to work as part of our senior leadership team in our brand-new school, Sutton. The new school will be a large independent specialist school for children and young people from the age of 5-19 for Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs You will be responsible for supporting young people across these schools that need extra assistance, taking responsibility for the day today high quality in class and intervention support for our pupils, enabling them to make good progress in their learning. The successful applicants will need: Must hold a SENCO Qualification Must Have a QTS status Make a valuable contribution to the offering that young people receive at the school as part of the provision of high-quality teaching and learning. Have some experience of working effectively with local authorities. Have a passion for ensuring all young people succeed. Be able to work effectively within a supportive, committed, and successful staff team. Have high aspirations for themselves and others, and a commitment to further development. Have a robust understanding of SEND Code of practice An understanding of SEMH education and how to support the additional needs associated with SEMH pupils.You will play a pivotal role in leading sites of the school through their next phase of development. We are seeking someone with the vision and drive to develop the provision and improve outcomes for pupils.
