Senior Developer – £52,000 – £55,000 – Hybrid/Leeds

VIQU is currently hiring a Senior Developer to join an organization in the public health sector. The Senior Developer will be part of the Digital Development team while managing and supporting junior developers and improving the internal business systems.

Senior Developer will be working in a team of 15 developers and analysts. With an excellent culture fit and growth across the business. You will be needed on-site in Leeds one day a week and they offer flexible working to meet the business needs.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Developer:

Has a general understanding of internal applications and plan developments when needed
Monitoring and supporting internal systems and finding ways to improve the systems
While developing case management systems
Support and manage the junior developers
Lead code reviews to ensure best practices whiles sharing and adapting good practices

Experience in:

Proven track record of 4years+ as a developer
Experience with Back End – Perl or PHP and Front End – JavaScript
Knowledgeable with React frameworks but can have Angular or Vue
Experienced with developing case management systems, particularly in the substance misuse domain
Experience with cloud computing platform AWS infrastructure and services
Worked with SQL within MySQL
Experience with Test-driven-development (TDD) practices, with a focus on ensuring comprehensive coverage of code
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as a part virtual team and communicate with other team members while also having the ability to work alone
