Senior Energy Pricing Analyst

The Pricing Analyst will be working in the Pricing Data Science team in the EO Insurance division of QBE.

Pricing Data Science is comprised of a growing team of 30 Pricing and Data Science specialists supporting the pricing of $5 Billion of annual premium and working with Underwriters across the UK, Europe and Lloyd’s and London Markets.

Your new role

• Work with the Energy ricing lead and build strong relationships with energy underwriters working in the European and Lloyd’s markets, and the energy underwriting head
• Be responsible for the on-going development of energy pricing models used by the various energy underwriting teams
• Work on the case pricing of larger risks and binders
• Fuse new data science techniques with traditional pricing methods to help form a market leading team of pricing data science professionals

About you

• Strong knowledge and experience of working in General Insurance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and client focused in order to build strong and collaborative relationships with different departments and internally
• Ability to work independently and to adapt to changing priorities and timescales
• Expert in Microsoft Excel
• Highly desirable: Actuarial pricing experience
• Desirable: Demonstrable interest in modern data science models and techniques
• Desirable: Python experience, or experience with other programming languages
