Are you an experienced Ecologist seeking a rewarding new challenge? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Field Scientist to join our growing team!At APEM, we pride ourselves on our commitment to scientific and client service excellence. APEM’s freshwater aquatic consultancy has been established as an area of APEM expertise for many years with our specialists delivering cutting-edge collection, analysis, and interpretation of freshwater survey data. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced scientist to join the survey team, which is at the heart of ensuring the efficient and professional provision of APEM’s services. The surveys team specialises in aquatic ecological and water quality survey work throughout the UK and Ireland with sampling and monitoring of lakes, ponds, canals, rivers, estuary environments.To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Higher education in a relevant subject and at least two years’ professional experience.
• Ability to set up and execute field surveys across the UK.
• Line management experience.
• A full UK driving licence
• Able to swim and work outside in all weather conditions
• Able to spend time away from home and work weekends
