At Saint-Gobain we are looking for Senior Financial Accountant, to work in our Financial Services Team helping to manage and deliver the General Ledger activities for multiple brands owned by Saint-Gobain. This Senior Financial Accountant will be an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join the passionate and knowledgeable Shared Service Centre (SSC), where you will manage a team of two people. This role can be worked on hybrid basis, with a couple of days in the office and the rest from home. However, we need flexibility when it comes to month end. What we’re looking for: Knowledge of GL accounting principles, activities, and processes Knowledge of local statutory accounting rules Awareness of IFRS and local fiscal rules Strong communication skills with the ability to influence SSC senior management and team members Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with relevant, practical experience Good communications skills, including the confidence to challenge and question if needed. Experience of managing a small team desirable What you will be doing: Ensure compliance with closing calendar; anticipate month-end processes to ensure smooth and efficient closing Supporting the function leads on management of internal/external audit visits and requirements relating to General Ledger, including preparation of reports, schedules, and procedures as per agreed timetable Assisting the Stats Team by providing data to prepare yearly statutory accounts and supporting documents for local auditors for multiple clients Responsibility for ensuring that General Ledger activities are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines for multiple clients Manage the resource within the allocated General ledger team and supervise direct reports on multiple clients and processes Are Saint-Gobain inclusive employers?
