Job Description Summary
Works with stakeholders to advocate engineering and deliver business value through sound and fully rounded engineering methods and principles, ensuring platforms and software are built consistently with relevant patterns and practices. Supports the engineering community by providing deep domain and technical expertise and providing a voice to engineers to identify and support the resolution of issues. Ensures technical debt and releases are prioritised accordingly. Able to continually develop themselves with industry best practice methods and tooling used across their engineering teams.

It’s the role of our Chief Information & Security Office to provide the backbone and infrastructure upon which this bank of the future will sit. We’re supporting the infrastructure of a number of these pivotal initiatives through the provision of Colleague Technology Services and Products. Enterprise Toolsets Automation Data Science ensure that platforms and new technologies to the bank, are ready for Lloyds Banking Group use.

The team designs and delivers Infrastructure solutions to enable product delivery and transformation. We work alongside Engineering Leads to understand application requirements in order to draw out infrastructure designs; ensuring compliance with the bank s patterns, standards and strategy. Once a design is created and internal teams and 3rd party suppliers mobilised we coordinate technical delivery to ensure your design is delivered to plan.
Our purpose is to enable, facilitate and transform infrastructure change for our customers. Ensuring our services are performant, secure, supportable, resilient, strategic and cost-effective.
In this role your accountabilities will include;
About you;
You’ll have first-hand experience of Infrastructure Design and governance and knowledge of Financial Markets systems and toolsets is essential for this role. Additionally you’ll have demonstrable experience of technical team leadership and of senior stakeholder management. We’ll also see evidence of your experience of conflict management in your application and experience of Cloud migration is desirable, but not essential.
Ideally you’ll possess a PSM qualification or experience of working in an Agile environment and a Systems Thinking qualification or exposure to other lean methodologies.
You’ll also be familiar with and passionate about engineering standard methodologies such as testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
