As the Senior IT Manager, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services, providing leadership and direction to support the institution’s educational ambitions. Your role will involve developing and implementing the IT vision and strategy, ensuring the smooth running of IT services, and managing IT resources and contracts. You will also play a vital role in identifying and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement the institution’s IT vision and strategy
– Provide leadership and management to the IT team
– Ensure the smooth implementation and maintenance of all IT services
– Monitor systems performance and identify opportunities and challenges
– Maintain systems, network, and data security
– Oversee the sourcing and implementation of new software and hardware
– Manage IT budgets and provide regular budgetary information
– Oversee IT systems deployment, development, and upgrading
– Lead projects and programmes and ensure business continuity plans are in place
– Liaise with the Executive Team, Senior Leadership Board, and other stakeholders
– Develop an IT structure that leverages synergies across the institution
– Procure equipment as required
– Undertake other duties as necessary
Key Tasks:
– Maintain an asset register and forecast asset replacement
– Update the IT risk register
– Manage maintenance contracts and service providers effectively
– Apply information technology to improve curriculum and corporate services
– Create and maintain documentation related to IT systems and processes

Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical, are essential to effectively engage stakeholders. As the Head of IT, you will report to the Senior Leadership Board and contribute to the school’s strategic planning.
