As a Senior Java Engineer you’ll part of our PROIV Development team who are responsible for enhancing and maintaining the PROIV Low-Code framework. Flexible working is important to Zellis, so this role will be working from home with occasional travel into one of our UK offices if required. You’ll be hands on and get involved in the design, development and maintenance of PROIV in an agile environment. You’ll focus on the Web / Java elements of the PROIV product suite encompassing webservices (SOAP / REST), application UI delivery to browser (JSON / JavaScript) and configuration / deployment browser interface. With your passion for technology, you’ll be key to the development of our current and future product to make a real impact for our customers.

• Designing and developing new product functionality.
• Contributing to the PROIV technology product roadmap / backlog.
• Maintenance of production product releases.
• Mentoring colleagues whilst promoting best practice.
• Inspiring our QA engineers to facilitate and produce automatic regression tests for new functionality.
• Being an active participant in all agile ceremonies.

Skills and experience

We’d love it if you have:

• Experience in software design and build capacity of Java Web applications.
• Worked within an Agile continuous integration environment.
• Deep knowledge of Servlet containers and java web application deployment.
• Strong JavaScript experience using a popular framework such as Angular or React.
• An understanding of web security concepts.
• Experience of building IntelliJ or Eclipse plugins.
• Examples of where you’ve built and released pipeline development, ideally using Azure DevOps and Azure CLI.
• Experience of cloud deployment technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
