Reed Further Education are proud to be appointed as the Managed Service Provider for the South Thames College Group and REED are supplying all staffing for across the whole college group. The South Thames Colleges Group is made up of Kingston College, South Thames College, Carshalton College and Merton College, which merged in 2017.Kingston College are looking for a dynamic Senior Learning Coach tosupport students to succeed in achieving learning goals and qualifications to enhance progression opportunities and life skills.

And assist with the planning and delivery of teaching sessions, learning and assessment for learners with learning disabilities/difficulties including autism and complex needs.

The Role:

• To provide pastoral and socal care to learners including personal care needs and managing challenging behaviours
• Undertake the preperation of teaching and learning materials, assess students learning, mark work and feedback to students/parents/carers.
• To deliver group sessions on a range of topics such as maths and English, mental health and wellbeing, employability and study skills.
• In the absence of a teacher, lead and deliver teaching sessions under the guidance of a curriculum manager.
• Use a range of teaching and learning strategies appropriate to the needs of all students.
• Line management of learning coaches

What you will need:

• Good Written & Verbal Communication
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional presentation
• A-C in GCSEs and educated to Level 3 (A-Levels or Equivalant)
• Experience with Post 16 students
• Experience leading classrooms and teaching
• Experience managing a team
• Experience delievering training and CPD

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the following:

• Senior Learning Support Assistant
• Senior Learning Coach
• HLTA
• Learning Support Tacher
