Role – Senior Mechanical Design EngineerType – PermanentLocation – WiltshireSalary – £40,000- £55,000 per annum dependent on experience (please advise what you’re looking for)My client designs and manufactures engineering equipment and machinery, and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis, in the Wiltshire area.The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Degree / HNC/ HND qualified in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 years’ or more of industry experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer in a similar heavy / plant / machinery manufacturing environment
• Having knowledge of 3D and 2D CAD – Autodesk Inventor ideally but other software may also be considered i.e SolidWorks
• Experience of working within the process, oil & gas or special purpose machinery sector
• Good organisational skills are required and good time management too
• The ability to use Microsoft Office programmes
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
• Be self-motivated

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

• Producing mechanical engineering solutions
• Working on a range of projects at any one time
• Being involved in equipment design
• Producing detailed manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor
• Writing Installation and Operation Manuals when required
• Taking projects from concept to completion
• Working closely with other engineering colleagues
• Being flexible to travel to customers sites at commissioning stage if required
