My client, a International Bank, is looking for a Backup expert is required to be part of the team performing the Backup Restore testing activities. You will have expertise in technologies such as Netbackup, TSM and Avamar.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical knowledge of Backup platforms based on Netbackup, TSM and Avamar.
• Installation, configuration and support of the sand box environment.
• Execute the backup restore tests and real recoveries of any Business Critical Service using the enterprise backups.
• Close liaison and working relationships with DBAs, application development teams, suppliers and internal systems management and support teams.
• Ensuring support and adherence of standards, policies, and procedures.
• Establishing the Backup recovery Testing program
• Performing periodical testing of the Business Critical Applications. Coordinating backup schedules, system restores, working with Application owners and participating in disaster recovery planning and exercises.

Knowledge required:

• Experience Configuration, installation,reconfiguration of Backups
• Candidate should have technical experience with Netbackup& TSM
• Experience in Backups for large databases – Oracle, SQL, UDB
• Experience of Application backups.
• Knowledge of HDS, IBM, Netapp, Dell and various other storage technologies.
• Working knowledge of at least one scripting language and a procedural language for at least one database.
