Our client is a successful independent accountancy practice. Due to their current growth plans, they now have an opportunity for a full-time Senior Payroll Administrator to join the business and support their senior team with payroll duties for a range of clients.
About the role
This role would suit an experienced and capable individual, looking to take a role with leadership opportunities. Reporting to the Senior Managers, the Senior Payroll Administrator will provide valuable support with number of key payroll and pensions processing activities.
Key aspects of the role include:
Setting up and processing Payrolls in full, accurately and on time;
Assisting with creating and producing of payroll reports via Report Writer software when required;
Completing automatic enrolment pensions set ups and processing, including the declaration of compliance and ensuring client queries are dealt with in a timely manner;
Ensuring the Payroll Support Administrators are utilised to provide support to the team;
Deputise for the Payroll Team Leader when absent to support the payroll team and clients;
Providing assistance to the Payroll Team Leaders and Assistant Managers with training the Payroll Onboarding and Processing teams.
The ideal person
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a payroll bureau and accounting practice environment. They will be familiar with payroll legislative standards, payroll processing and onboarding procedures, and with using Payritesoftware.
The position would suit an excellent communicator and dedicated team player who is comfortable working within a fast-paced environment. They will be a good problem solver, able to work to strict deadlines and be able to demonstrate initiative, and contribute to ways in which current processes can be made more effective for the team and clients.
