Responsibilities: Assist to create clear and concise presentations for internal and external parties such as our Broker(s) and Reinsurers, covering mid-contract business developments, Programme performance and market renewal presentations. Co-ordinate and produce the market standard questionnaires for purchasing / renewing our corporate insurance and reinsurance programmes, liaising with key internal and external stakeholders. Act as communication buoy to Liaise between internal and external parties (Broker, Reinsurers and Insurers) in relation to large loss claims (New Notifications, Updates, JSM, Collection Note requests), credit control and premium adjustments. Review the claims data, cross reference against known and reported large losses to ensure reporting (including reinsurance reporting) criteria is met. Credit Control of any outstanding premium or claims recoverables due to / from Brokers and Reinsurers, ensure all settlements are within agreed terms to ensure effective cashflow is maintained. Support in the execution and implementation of Reinsurance and delivery of programmes. Update and maintain Reinsurance Technical Database, contract management, monthly FI report for claims recovery, credit Rating monitoring, collection requests and providing MI Reporting. Regulatory, Audit and Business Partnering Act as a finance business partner to the Reinsurance Department, working closely with Local and Group reporting to provide support, technical expertise and ensure we adhere to contract terms. Provide support for Finance projects, including IFRS 17 and continuous process improvements to automate and streamline processes with a view to improving the accuracy and timeliness of reporting. Assist interim and full year audit for reinsurance, business partnering with reporting and finance where required, providing audit packs in a timely manner and answering internal and external queries. Assist with reinsurance data preparation for internal and regulatory returns; to comply to local regulatory bodies across Europe (SII, CAA, PRA and internal reporting) Ensure payments of the XOL Programmes are settled in accordance with the reinsurance slips and as agreed by Reinsurance Manager with the Reinsurance Committee and hand over to finance once setup. Calculate and inform actuarial and European Branches of XOL claims recoveries using Europe wide national indexation tables for inclusion within local ledgers Knowledge and Qualifications: Qualification in Data Analysis or statistical analysis or equivalent experience is required. Superior ability to anticipate and solve problems and make decisions with limited direction/consultation. Senior experience of Inwards and Outwards Reinsurance practices. Experience working with accounting General ledger systems, SUN knowledge preferred. Preferred Exposure to regulatory reporting such as CAA and Solvency II. Proven track record of working within a deadline driven environment. Ability to develop excellent working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
