Requirements:

You’ll have:
– experience in Site Reliability or Operations Architect in a SaaS or technology development role including hands-on experience with AWS-hosted environments
– a passion for and the ability to troubleshoot incidents, improve response and escalations processes, ultimately optimising system performance to ensure the required Global Systems availability.
At least 5+ years of experience at scale in Site Reliability Engineering competency in building, deploying, monitoring, and operating services with performance and security mindset.
At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in deploying, optimizing, and maintaining AWS-hosted environments and AWS native services
In-depth understanding of Linux system internals and networking.
In-depth knowledge of a variety of different technical stacks and a strong knowledge of debugging and monitoring using different tools such as Cloudwatch, PageDuty, Splunk, DataDog, Dynatrace etc
Experience delivering enterprise-scale end-to-end monitoring and incident response solutions in a multi-service, multi-team setting
Responsibilities:
– Responsibilities include:
Global Systems Availability of 99.99%
Reporting metrics on system performance, baselines, history, and improvements.
Designing, improving and maintaining comprehensive monitoring solutions across the global production and non-production environments.
Proactive remediation of errors, traffic, system saturation as early indicators of service degradation.
Automating and optimizing cloud infrastructure deployment, reviewing over/under provisioned resources, and horizontal scaling opportunities.
Ongoing analysis and improvement of all infrastructure and applications using collected and analyzed Telemetry data.
Conducting regular system performance and infrastructure reviews for reporting, and overseeing that identified actions are executed.
Tracking performance related bugs are prioritized by Dev, and work closely with DevOps to ensure the fixes are tested and deployed globally.

This is a new role that can be hybrid, or remote from within the UK, and reports to our Director, Global Operations based in California.
As a member of our Global Ops team, you’ll be working closely with our global R&D teams: with Cloud Engineers and System and Software Architects, DevOps, SecOps, and Development teams.
You’ll have opportunities to take the lead, drive projects, and be involved in high-level decision-making related to the design and operation of the system.
You’ll be key to design, improve and maintain comprehensive full stack and digital experience monitoring and debugging solutions across multiple services, platforms, and applications to support Teletrac Navman SaaS systems worldwide.
