Imperial Professionals are delighted to announce that we are working in partnership with a Gas management business who are recruiting for a Service Engineer on a Permanent basis.

Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum + Company Van and Fuel Card

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Teesside

Hours: Full Time

Job Purpose

To deliver a high level of service to customers through inspection visits, face-to-face meetings and technical discussions. You will work independently, visiting existing customer sites to carry out monthly inspections and generating subsequent reports. Visits will include discussions at both shopfloor level and Senior Management.

Responsibilities:

• Be part of a self-motivated team delivering a gas efficiency service to customers.
• Look after a varied portfolio of customers using industrial gases for various applications.
• Build customer relationships.
• Carry out inspections at customers to ensure lowest possible gas operating costs and to assist with reducing carbon footprint.
• Monitor, audit, and report system efficiency to customers.
• Install gas control equipment and other gas systems.
• Advise on gas safety and compliance.
• Answer customer queries, provide advice, assist in commercial negotiations and problem solving.
• Other duties within your scope deemed necessary by the business for you to effectively complete the job.

Experience Required:

• Must be confident, highly self-motivated, and able to work on their own initiative without direct supervision.
• The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and good IT, Excel capability.
• Ideally a minimum of one year’s experience in a customer-facing role in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work as an effective member of a team at a geographical distance.
• Technical knowledge of gases is not required but practical experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
• Job specific training / qualifications will be provided.
