Service Engineer Northern Ireland Permanent Up to £42,000We are recruiting in Northern Ireland for an expanding engineering team of a Dutch, Global Steel Manufacturing business. We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer who enjoys a role where no two days are the same. Travelling across Northern and Southern Ireland you will solve reported failures with machines on customer location.Receiving world class training, you will be given the knowledge and tools to:Prepare – Concerns discussion of reported malfunction and/or modification with Coordinator. Analysis of reported failure and consultation of knowledgebase and documentation to gather more information about a problem. You will ensure the presence of correct materials, tools and documentation. Service – You will analyse the cause of failure (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical or software) at customer location. Assessing situation at customer location based on service protocol. Solving malfunctions within the set planning. Giving advice to the customer to prevent future problems. Ordering additional parts and tools if necessary.Process Improvement – Signalling and reporting of improvements based on personal observations, giving advice re: improvement to the service manager.Quality – Ensuring you are checking your own work, ensuring that the machine is delivered in accordance with customer expectations, set specifications, quality requirements, drawings and safety requirements. Reporting – Drafting service reports, including executed work, quality, safety and follow up actions. Informing customer about executed maintenance activities. Registration of used materials in ERP system.Safety – Taking care of a safe and clean work environment whilst adhering to the health and safety regulations at Client sites. You will be a confident service engineer, happy working on your own or as part of a larger team. We really need somebody that is happy to travel throughout the week where you will be nicely compensated – there may be some overtime at weekends also. Support might be required from time to time with the international team, so some flexibility to overseas travel is also a must.
