Permanent, 7am – 4pm

£11-£13 per hour, higher rate of pay & travel costs covered for off-site work

Kiwi Recruitment are delighted to be working again, with our long-serving client who are a UK top 10 supplier of seed, fertilisers, crop protection products and agronomy services. They have the opportunity to join their team as Site Operative on a permanent basis.

The right candidate will be a flexible and adaptable skilled worker, stationed mostly at our clients’ facility in Shoreham whilst providing relief cover at their Chichester site during peak times and when additional help is required.

This position will require you to be flexible as the location of work may sometimes vary between Shoreham-by-Sea, Chichester, and Southampton. A higher rate of pay will be provided for work away from your home site and travel costs covered.

The position will be diverse and offers a great chance to enter the company, learn about various operational areas, and be able to:

• Learn and be involved with all the processes to produce agricultural seeds, from intake to cleaning and bagging of finished seeds.
• Provide cover at our deep water-water terminal helping with all day-to-day duties to blend and bag mixtures, store raw materials, assist with ship unloading and the loading of finished product.
• Help to pick, check-off, wrap and load pallet orders by hand and by forklift truck, learning about the products our client’s stock and supply.
• Deliver van orders direct to customer’s farms located across the southern counties.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Experience in dock working, logistics operations, forklift truck operations, warehousing, would be helpful but not essential as training will be provided.
• Keen and enthusiastic individual.
• Have an interest in the Agricultural industry.
