Base: Community Complex Needs and Special School Therapists.
Location: We currently have roles in Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. However, we are expanding to Birmingham and Worcestershire so would accept applications from here also.
Grade: All bands will be considered. All of the roles are development roles with a clear pathway to reach the next grade banding. NQT’s are also welcome to apply. Specific training and mentoring will be offered to all successful therapists.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. (Though part time hours would be considered).
Accountable to Melissa Mcilhiney, Managing Director
Clinical Sessions: Supporting children with Complex Needs within the community and education placements.
Pay: Will be based on experience following scales.

Job Summary:
Powerful Voices is a Specialist Speech and Language Therapy Service for children and young people with additional and/ or complex needs. We work closely together to ensure that we have the greatest therapeutic impact, working either directly or through other people. We offer a need led, impact-based model of service delivery and provide services at universal, targeted and specialist levels.
We are looking for therapists with a special interest in Complex Needs or AAC to join our small supportive specialist team. Here at Powerful Voices, we believe that everyone should have a voice and strive to work with the client and their care teams to develop this.
As a therapist on the team, you will be supported to develop and enhance your specialist skills working with complex needs across our community provision and be responsible for the planning and management of your own caseload and interventions working. You will also have line management and supervision responsibilities for junior staff members and opportunities to support student training. You will be expected to actively contribute to our integrated model of service delivery and development of our integrated working. We provide an extensive CPD programme to train you in every element of your role or special interests.
Please note that as a community therapist you will need to be able to change locations throughout the day should the caseload require it.
