Sports Centre Supervisor

• Location: Wath upon Dearne (near Rotherham/Barnsley)
• Salary: Up to £21k + Benefits
• Type: 37 hours per week

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Wath upon Dearne.

Role Purpose

• To support and encourage the growth of participation through the services, activities and standards of customer care provided by the Sports facility.
• To be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management and operation of the Sports facility.
• To be responsible for the development and maintenance of a highly motivated, performing and efficient team.
• To plan, monitor and meet targets for sales, programming and activities so that facilities and income are maximised.

Responsibilities

• Provide a customer focused service to learners, employees and members.
• You will be responsible for the operational day to day activities of the Sports Centre whilst on duty.
• As part of the Sports facility’s operational management team you will carry out day-to-day management of the facility
• Cover for planned and unplanned absences of staff

Requirements

• Able to pass a DBS check
• Level 3 Sports or Leisure related qualification
• Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification
• First Aid at Work qualification
• Experience of supervisory responsibilities
• Knowledge of Health and Safety guidelines
• You will need to be able to work flexibly including some evening/weekend work
