Structural Engineer

Location: Wimbledon (Hybrid/Flexible working)

Permanent Position

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, to conduct design and analysis work of the rig conversion project independently and to the satisfaction of the project lead,
• Responsible for ensuring that all design work under your control is performed reviewed, checked and approved in accordance with ODE and/or project specific engineering procedures.
• Provide sketches, supervise drafting of drawings by CAD resource.
• Preparing engineering model and reports

Your Experiences:

• Familiar with latest design developments, statutory regulations, code of practice and offshore industry standards.
• Competence in the use of software such as ANSYS, SESAM, or SACS and STAADPRO.
• Work with lead engineer to achieve a satisfactory conclusion of the project within the allotted budget and timescale
• Good theoretical basis and hands on experiences
• Design of offshore substructures
• Design of onshore structure for oil and gas facilities
• Conversant with aspects of offshore environmental loading
• Familiar with the installation procedure, fabrication process and capable of detailed design of installation aids
• Familiar with the functional requirements of topsides structure, drilling derrick, jacket and capable of offering practical solutions

Your Qualifications:

• BEng or Master Degree in Civil or related Engineering or above
• Chartered engineer (preferable but not essential)
• Post-graduation experience in offshore structural engineering 1-2 years experince in either Oil and Gas and/or Offshore Wind
