A vacancy has arisen for a person to join a small hard-working team of Study Directors/Project Managers at Stockbridge Technology Centre Ltd (STC) carrying out and reporting plant trials in greenhouses. STC is an applied research and development facility in horticulture and for arable crops. The facilities comprise glasshouses, vertical farm unit, poly-tunnels and 75 hectares of grade 2 land for outdoor trials and demonstration purposes. STC offers a top class service for commercial clients to test new products, help product development and test new crop varieties to help improve the sustainability, efficiency and productivity of the UK agriculture and horticulture industry. Role: To manage short term glasshouse studies involving plants. To undertake all aspects of trial management from sowing, planting, spraying, assessing, harvesting and writing reports. Requirements: Good standard of education. Ideally a qualification in horticulture, but a general interest in horticulture/plants or plant science and ability to work accurately and to agreed deadlines is as important. Ability to write reports that are clear and accurate using report templates training and support will be available. Willingness to learn and develop new skills
