Are you a supply chain or procurement professional seeking a new and exciting opportunity?

Reed is currently working with a national third sector organisation who are looking for a Supplier Relationship Manager to be based in their Paisley office.

The main purpose of the role is to create and lead the supplier management strategy for the organisation, through expert supplier relationship management.

Ideally, we are seeking an organised and creative induvial, with previous experience in supply chain management or senior procurement roles, that can use their own initiative to identify supply improvements.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

• Developing and implementing supplier relationship management strategy.
• Designing and delivering the supplier operating model to register new suppliers and maintain existing ones.
• To work towards a reduction in total supplier numbers and improve current supplier performance.
• Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the business, as well as external suppliers.
• Lead and create the processes and tools to ensure a standardised approach to supplier management, via the procurement business model.
• Implement and carry out procedures like supplier registration, performance evaluation, and audits.
• Support the overall delivery of the procurement function.
• Provide training and guidance to all business units to ensure suppliers are managed effectively and consistently, over all services.
• Reduce non-compliance and mitigate risks across procurement function.
• Tracking and reporting performance measures against KPIs and SLAs.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• 5 years’ experience in supply chain management or senior procurement positions.
• Excellent working knowledge of supplier relationship management and end-to-end procurement process, from market research and supplier registration, through contract management and payment.
• CIPS Diploma or equivalent education (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal/external stakeholders and suppliers.
• Advanced knowledge of wider supply chain market and mechanisms.
• Possess strong analytical skills.
• Sound knowledge of legal concepts surrounding supply of goods and services.
• An understanding of supplier risks and experience in mitigating these.
• An innovative and business orientated mindset.
• The ability to use own initiative to identify areas of improvement, tackle problems, and propose solutions.
