Position: Support Staff / SEND Teaching Assistants

Job Summary:

• Provide essential support and assistance to students with special educational needs in various educational settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment that meets the unique requirements of each student.
• Offer support to students with a range of special needs, including but not limited to profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex emotional needs.
• Establish positive relationships with students, fostering their personal, social, and academic growth.
• Play a vital role in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.

Ideal Candidate Profile: To excel in these positions, the ideal candidates should possess the following qualities:

1. Experience and/or Qualifications: Previous experience as a support worker or SEND teaching assistant is highly desirable. Relevant qualifications in special education or related fields are a plus.
2. Flexibility and Adaptability: The ability to adapt to different environments and work with students with various types of special needs is crucial.
3. Enhanced DBS Check: Candidates must be willing to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or already have one on the update system.
