The opportunity
As a Support Technician for Casting, you will underpin the activities of the Specialist Technicians in providing, expertise and guidance to groups and individuals for taught programs.
You will be supporting the day-to-day operation of the Casting Workshop/ Ceramics Workshop and the delivery of a wide range of casting skills and techniques in a wide range of materials, and for the upkeep and housekeeping of the workshop area. In addition, you will be responsible for the day-to-day Health & Safety of all workshop users.
You will not only bring key skills with you but will have the opportunity to develop new skills and experience across a wide range of technical workshops.

About you
You should have a BA in a relevant Art and Design subject, (or a professional equivalent) and relevant experience, gained through working in industry/practice and or education. You must be able to demonstrate and pass on technical skills to a wide range of students, have a good basic knowledge of casting and related processes and an awareness and appreciation of the need for high levels of customer care.
