Location: Southampton, Hampshire

Position: Support Worker

Service: Supported living for adult males

Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour (£24,394 per annum)

Hours: Full time / Part time- Day and night shifts available (to include sleep ins and weekends)

Contract: Permanent

About the Service:

A fantastic family run service with a real community focus based in central Southampton. This supported living facility focuses on supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and Prader Willi Syndrome in an environment where they are encouraged to fulfil their full potential. Through a combination of 1-2-1 support, access to a specialist skills centre and community participation, clients are able to learn, develop and utilise new skills and embrace opportunity to live as independently as possible.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a support worker to join our friendly and supportive team. You will be compassionate, patient and empathetic with a real desire to make a difference. Ideally you will have some experience within the care sector however full training is provided so we are happy to consider candidates with no experience who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and a friendly, caring and resilient personality. Our client’s like to be active and are encouraged to live as active a lifestyle as possible so you will be required to be out and about, whether at our skills centre (transport provided) or out and about in the local area.

Training & Development:

We offer a structured induction process with a combination of office based and hands on training, with ongoing support as needed. We also provide the opportunity to undertake further training and NVQ’s to support your development.
