Support Worker PBS Hull – Kirkella and Cottingham Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw) – part time hours also available Pay £12.53 per hour (£22,500 per annum) (pro rata) + £50 per sleep in with great benefits including Health Cash Plan Home, a place where you belong. We have an amazing job opportunity for you to join our new Complex Care service in Hull as our Positive Behaviour Support worker (PBS). You ll help our brilliant customers to live fulfilling lives in their own homes within the local community. We are looking for people with the right values who want to learn how to implement this approach. Any experience in working in the field of PBS is a bonus. Typical day as a job title Helping our customers live their happiest life through regular interaction with their family and friends and the wider community. Delivering with enthusiasm a rich programme of activities. Help reduce social isolation and improving our customers quality of life, health, and wellbeing. Supporting with personal care as some of our customers have complex care needs. Understand professional boundaries, risk assessments and supporting customers to enjoy their best possible quality of life. You ll have plenty of time for cuppas, chats and catch ups, there s no rushing from one customer to the next here! You have Ideally hold Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or be willing to study for this and we ll support you. Experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively. Passionate and motivated with a can do positive attitude. Have the heart of a Lion, you ll sometimes need the skin of a Rhino, however, this won t take away from the caring nature you display towards our customers. Some experience in physical assistance to help wash (shower or bath), dress, and oral care is also highly desirable. Our team You ll join Leanne our Registered Manager who has lots of experience supporting customers with learning disabilities. Our PBS Team Leaders and PBS Support workers are super passionate about what they do. They are a supportive bunch and can t wait to welcome you to the team. Job details Our customers need 24/7 help to meet their needs. You ll take your turn working on a rota. Shifts available include days, evenings, weekends & bank holidays. You ll be required to do sleep ins for which an enhancement will be paid. Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, completing online learning, and collaborating with colleagues. You ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
