We care for children who have support needs associated with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and work with them to help them meet their full potential and transition towards independence. Rhos Cottage is a four-bedded house including two transitional flats in the grounds. It is set in two acres of land, and is close to the many amenities of Swansea, including bus routes to Swansea City Centre. So you might be wondering what you would be doing? A typical day will include Providing high quality bespoke care to the young people we support, including keeping accurate records. Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment, and that it feels like home. Being a positive role model to our young people and promoting their independence through a range of activities. General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation. Having fun with our young people!Sound good so far? We are simply looking for people who care, and have: A can-do attitude and resilient nature. Compassion and empathy. Good communication skills. The ability to work flexibly and reliably as part of a team. Previous care experience is preferred but not essential, and it would be great if you have a current and valid UK driver’s licence.
