Position: Sustainability Manager
Location: Houghton Regis
Job type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract – 1 year
The impact you will have
Working as an Arjo Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible creating sustainability plans, conducting site assessments and producing reports on findings, including renewable energy and zero-carbon technologies. You will engage in external forums and associations, as well as developing and training of sustainability within the different Arjo functions.
The skills you will need
– Bachelor s Degree in Sustainable Development field of study or NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent – desirable
– Basic knowledge of Quality and Environmental Management within a medical device or other regulated environment
– Knowledge of environmental impact assessment including current trends and good practice, especially in understanding Arjo s carbon and digital footprint
– Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards, e.g. GHG Protocol, GRI, SBTi, CSRD
– A strong knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations
– Understanding of the impact of current global economic, social and environmental pressures
– Knowledge of NHS supply chain – desirable
– Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and databases
– Effective communication, comfortable facilitating discussion and presenting to different audiences
– Analytical skill able to distil datasets and concepts in engaging and concise terms
– The ability to move between high level strategic thinking and operational detail

– Highly developed interpersonal skills and self-motivation
– Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under strict deadlines.
